My own department's valedictorian made a screwup at my
Commencement ceremony.
He proudly proclaimed something like, 'In spite of my
achievements and experiences in the Department of Mechanical
Engineering, I will not be pursuing this career, but rather, a
career in finance......'
I swear, I saw the Faculty Dean and the University President
facepalming at the same time. They were probably thinking: 'So
we wasted the Engineering faculty's resources on this fella for
nothing?'
Lack of EQ on the part of the valedictorian, I say. His career
path in finance is his choice, but does he have to rub it in the
faces of all the engineering professors?
I seriously believe that there shld be other better things to say

must be tactful~~~ even if we go out work, when we dun
agree with our bosses, we also wont agrue straight in the face
infront of everyone...
